"Lovely hotel gardens really pretty place. Great room good bed, stayed 1 night. We had dinner in the restaurant the Thursday menu, delicious. Special thanks to Claire who served us breakfast lovely person very accommodating. Great stay will go back."

"I booked a budget stay for work and was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hotel. I had a single room which came with a comfortable single bed, new carpet and had been freshly painted. The fixtures are clearly quite old but looks to have been freshened up and everything worked. The highlight was the (included) breakfast!! The range was huge and the cooked food top notch. The sausages were especially good. The value for money is the best I have had from a hotel in years. Will definitely stay again!"

"Staff refused to add my IHG awards number to the reservation, they claimed that they've never done it and it wasn't available in the reservation. The area is under reconstruccion, so the hotel is very difficult to access, the parking is a real nightmare to find"

"The staff gave us all help and consideration last week. Especially Maria and Magda who sorted out my husband's difficulty with the new mattress (too hard for his back problems). Everyone was always polite and gave us the feeling that nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant service was also impeccable and the food excellent. Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short due to finding some particularly deep potholes in Beamish which exacerbated my husband's problem. I cannot recommend the Beaumont highly enough. "

"The Ox Hotel is fabulous value for money. The huge cooked buffet breakfast included vegetarian options. Jack the staff member was so helpful. We could walk to great takeaway options. The room was clean and comfortable and at least I could have a great bath! Worth every penny."
