"After reading many reviews and trying to do my due dilligence, we decided to book for our Engagement weekend on the Isle of Skye and were so happy we did!! The hotel staff was super friendly, fun, and personable. They have a golf cart to bring your bags to your room, and the rooms are cozy and quaint with a modern touch! "Uig Hotel was a fantastic place to stay, with friendly welcoming staff and amazing tasting food in the restaurant. Little to fault about the hotel, if anything rooms were too warm (stayed early November). I would be a little worried about young children staying in some of the rooms, given how easy it is to fully open up windows, but otherwise would highly recommend this hotel."

"This is an older hotel that offers basic rooms, our one was on a smaller side, but everything was clean and comfortable. We did not have the opportunity to try their restaurant as it was fully booked the night we stayed but we really enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is in a really good location within walking distance from the main shopping area, with several restaurants nearby. Please note there is no elevator in this hotel but they offered to help us carry our luggage upstairs to our room. "

"Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the hosts. They provided tourist information for the surrounding area sites, restaurants and shopping. Our room had everything we would possibly need and was thoughtfully decorated. The breakfast was amazing and fuelled our hike up The Old Man of Storr in rain, 50mph winds and sideways hail. The extra special touches made such a difference - a face-washer and shaving cream in the bathroom, very comfortable room & lounge area topped off by exquisitely crafted and cooked hot breakfast.
