"The hotel is in need of a renovation. The first day we stayed we got food poisoning, there are no other dining options that looked enticing nearby so we were forced to eat all our meals at the hotel and it is the worst food I have eaten on this trip. The towels are old and rough, everything is dated and although the team are nice, it cannot make up for the experience. The kids room is dark and dingy, the table tennis rackets etc are falling apart, the hand soap dispensers are broken etc etc "

"Location and guest service were amazing. Staff is very friendly and approachable however the building itself requires some improvements like paintings, renovations and bathroom upgrade. "We have no regrets staying at the Alunan Resort. The food was fantastic and al-a-carte. Usually All-inclusive is buffet service. The Staff were extremely friendly and hated to say goodbye. The excursions were amazing, Snorkeling and Sunset Cruising our favorites. Our only caution is you must consider the stairs. There are a lot of them. Would definitely return."

"Arrived well before official checkin time. Room was ready. Although they tried to upsell their newer renovated rooms which were empty. They were nice but it wasn’t a free upgrade. Their initial remark was my booked room requires stairs climbing which I did not find an issue to begin with. The basic room was pretty much the same as the one I stayed in many years ago. Clean but ancient. There were kettle and fridge. Wifi never seemed to work but I never inquired further as I have my mobile data....
