Ride on the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram to enjoy outdoor adventures accompanied by the glorious scenery of Grand Teton National Park. Marvel at the 360-degree views of forested valleys and dramatic mountain ranges along hiking trails and at observation points. Jackson Hole Aerial Tram connects Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village with the foothills of 10,450-foot-tall (3,185-meter) Rendezvous Mountain.
The cable car rises 4,139 feet (1,262 meters) from the village in just 12 minutes. Each gondola has a capacity for 100 passengers and its huge glass windows present views in all direction. Watch as the village disappears into the distance and look down to see hikers or skiers exploring the mountain slopes. Wildlife, such as bears, deer and moose, can often be seen roaming amid the conifer forests.
Far-reaching and spectacular views await you at the top. Gaze across the rugged landscapes of the Jackson Hole and Snake River valleys. Look south toward the summit of Rendezvous Mountain and north to Grand Teton, the tallest point of the national park. On exceptionally clear days you may see the peaks of Yellowstone National Park.
Bring a picnic basket, find a quiet spot and have lunch accompanied by the breathtaking surroundings. Alternatively, feast on the made-to-order waffles or sip cocktails at the outdoor terrace of the small café and bar.
Get active by following easy or challenging hiking trails deeper into the Teton Range. Walk down to The Deck, an outdoor dining area at the summit of the Bridger Gondola. From here continue on foot or catch the gondola back to the village. Rock Springs Loop is a 4-mile (6-kilometer) route that crosses alpine forests and meadows.
Get to Teton Village and the base of the tramway by catching a public bus from Jackson, which is about 12.5 miles (20 kilometers) southeast. Free parking is available in Teton Village during the summer.
Jackson Hole Aerial Tram is open year-round. From June to September the admission fee includes access to the Bridger Gondola and Teewinot Chairlift. Purchase tickets via the official website of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to get a discounted rate.
