"A railway hotel with a grand entrance and one of the most dramatic staircases. Two nights in January and handy for both the railway station and the bus station. Room comfortable and bed good and large enough. Breakfast options good though on first day pastries a bit past their best. Enjoyed it though did not use the restaurant."

"Fantastic hotel. Unusual layout with several Victorian houses along the river converted into the bedrooms. With the brewery and taproom at one end and the restaurant at the other."

"Enjoyable stay and would go back, had breakfast one morning but disappointed that it was cold, I was late in getting down (30 minutes before breakfast was finishing) but no excuses for it being cold. It’s an old fashioned hotel but it still has a charm about it and all the staff were very helpful during my stay. "
