"We had a fantastic experience at Bushbaby River Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Communication with the staff was seamless, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged even before our arrival. The heat pump/air conditioner worked flawlessly, making our stay comfortable regardless of the temperature outside. The facilities were spotless, with warm water readily available and a refreshing pool to relax in. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Conveniently located just 15 minutes from the airport, the lodge is also surrounded by wildlife, offering a serene and immersive experience. For those interested, the staff can help arrange game drives, making it easy to explore the incredible nature and wildlife in the area. "Two double bedrooms, kitchen fridge etc. Also lounge/ dining/hallway. One bathroom/ toilet. Very good shower. Small outdoor space, upper floor studio/ bedroom/ outdoor patio area, though unfurnished. Good off road parking. Secure, passcode to enter. All clean, 2/3* level. Good air con in bedrooms. We only used as base for 3 nights as out exploring. Would recommend. Think there’s a pool, though we didn’t explore. Very secure. The gate code was a bit iffy sometimes. All in all, would definitely stay again, and would recommend. "

"Not value for money. Dinner was tasteless. Disturbing was to catch a worker at 07:30 the next morning hiding under our tent while we were bathing. The wooden floor has clear gaps to look through. When confronted he said he was there to fix a problem. Complained to the manager and she only replied "Sorry for that". No investigation or request to identify the worker. Internet is non-existent and lights are inadequate in the tent. "

"Amazing stay - have stayed in the Wildlife estates several times and this was the best viewing of wildlife I have seen. Amazing to drink coffee and watch the Kudu, Nyala and warthogs. Rooms are great, love the outdoor shower and the hosts are so friendly and kind. "

"Unembeza is a very quiet and peaceful place. The staff is great! Food is delicious. Would highly recommend. Reasonable rates! Jeremiah, Constance, Liz and all other staff have made our stay very pleasant. "

"Only stayed one night coming back from our stay in Kruger but as soon as we got there we realised we should have booked for two. There are loads of things to do in the area that we were interested in and on site there were walks we could have taken surrounded by nature. The location is beautiful and even just outside the bedroom you see deer and a warthog or two. Marlon was a great host and very knowledgeable and the room was luxurious as was the bathroom that also had a choice of inside and outside shower. Great night’s sleep in a super comfy bed. Would come back."
