"We absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed in the Pool Suite which was very comfortable. All the staff were very polite and friendly and always had a smile on their face. "Staff were lovely. Although not quite prepared for our arrival, they sprung into action to prepare our rooms. Rooms were clean and spacious and had basic furniture and en-suite shower rooms. Air con in bedroom. Stairs only, up to the second floor. Lovely balcony with overhanging roof to reduce any rain coming onto balcony. Small but clean pool and always a sun bed available when we wanted one. Small bar area. About 800m to nearest section of beach but a bit further to supermarket and beaches, bars and restaurants that we wanted to go to - between 1.5 to 3 km approximately. Walkable on roadside and easy in a tuk tuk. Banks with cash machines also at this distance from hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel is located right on the beach, the ocean is just a step away. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The restaurant is open for limited time frames but room service is available throughout the day. Loved the view from our room, to get the sea view you have to book premium sea view. Comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was courteous and helpful. The Wi-Fi was spotty especially during peak usage but the view, the sea, sun and sand make up for it. Food service maybe slow at peak times but you need to understand that food is made to order and NOT premade. Breakfast is a delicious spread of Sri Lankan and Western dishes, with a good selection of breads, fruits and juices. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel."
