With a daily rate of about RMB160 the hotel gave me a reasonable clean room & comfortable beds, free internet access. I also paid RMB 18 for breakfast buffet (congee, Chinese buns, fruits, etc.). Opposite to the hotel there is a supermarket. Next to the hotel there is a small road-side night market for food. So, it could be a bit noisy at late evening. There is bus stop near by. I did not find it too difficult to get taxi. In general I feel the operation is under staff and the hotel reception is small. I saw the hotel also served tour group. It could be very busy sometimes & you need to wait patiently. Majority the guests are Chinese. It could be difficult if you speak only other languages. Of course, I would not compare it with popular branded hotels, like Sheraton, Shangri La, etc. That is why I only rate it as 3 (2.5 if there is such choice) because that was what I paid for. Jinjiang hotel chain is reputable in China with many years of experience in the hotel industry. I still recalled my first patronage at its then 5-star hotel in Shanghai in the 1980s. In short the hotel is basic, simple & economical.
