It was a nice time at Pela mare hotel, the ambience is lovely and quiet for a family relaxation. What is unique about the Property is the aerial view, the wonderful Greek culture and amazing staff. My stay was okay until my check out time and was slammed with an unplanned bill which was based on not passing information correctly. Information should be decimated properly and detailed accordingly because language barrier is imminent. But overall it's not bad for a family stay. The management should look into ways of passing information in order not to put client in a tight situation that can be avoidable. It was a wonderful visit to Pela Agia and Pela mare hotel made it worth the while ....

Everyone around here are extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Sofia, Giorgios and Antonio at the reception were eager to provide you the necessary information about Crete. Housekeeper Poppy is exceptionally wonderful. Maria at the breakfast bar is always happy to help. Only one thing I must mention about the room we had was obstructing the sea view by the breakfast bar. Of course that was compensated by the morning sunrise view from our balcony.

Beautiful little boutique hotel for my 7 day stay in Crete! Staff very welcoming from the moment I’ve arrived till the moment I checked out to the airport. This is a lovely small hotel with fabulous views of the countryside and sea. We spent a week here and chose a deluxe suite which had a bedroom and a separate living room with a dual aspect balcony directly overlooking the sea. The beach is about 15 minute walk away and the area is very quiet. If you want rest and relaxation this is for you. The hotel is made up of several blocks of apartment type rooms with their own front door. There is a lovely pool and the grounds are well maintained. As in other reviews we found the breakfasts amazing, filled with local produce and home baking. Most other residents had car rentals but we got the local bus into Heraklion which stops outside the hotel four times a day. The staff are really friendly and helpful and left us vases of flowers like jasmine from the grounds which we really appreciated. We had a lovely relaxing break and I definitely recommend this hotel.

This beautiful hotel is situated in an excellent location overlooking the sea, just 25 mins drive from Heraklion airport. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and all of them work extremely hard to cater to their guests every need. Apart from the tranquillity and the amazing views, the best thing about this hotel is the fact that it has just the right number of rooms to provide its guests with the space needed to enjoy it without ever feeling overcrowded. You'll never struggle to get a sunbed during the day or a table for dinner, even during peak season. I would definitely recommend the Pela Mare to anyone visiting the area.

We just stayed here a few weeks ago, the day after the worst storms that Crete had seen in 40 years (that were centred over the nearby village). The hotel is lovely, well maintained and clean, with decent facilities for a small hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food in the little restaurant by the pool was very nice and had some good local options. We had bed and breakfast and there were some good options for breakfast, with a bit of variety. We strolled into town most nights for an evening meal and there is a good selection of places on the seafront to choose from - although all those restaurants by the beach have very similar menus, whereas the hotel's menu was a bit different. They were all nice though. It is about half an hour by car driving to Heraklion, and because the weather was not great we also took in a few other sites such as Zeus caves, Spinalonga and Knossos which were about 40m to 1h15m away. Would stay at this hotel again.

Everything was good except one thing,,,,,,, They don’t provide a shuttle!! If you want to go to the beach or eat you have to pay 10 euros each way! We paid 40 each day. They said you can walk but in my opinion is dangerous beco use the street is borrow and curves. Giorgo is very nice and help with all the questions and tours.
