"December 2024 - checking in is ‘after hours’ friendly so if you arrive early for day tripping in Cambridge you can park at the location and return to book in and collect keys later. Staff on site at time of review are on till 23:00. There is a system for later checkin. Parking and location secure. Rooms are bursting with character. Think 1920’s ‘Hercule Poirot’ panache. Heating goes off after midnight but under the covers it isn’t a problem. Bath / showers are excellent. A great location....

"Its not what I didn't like staying at the place. As the place is very reasonable in price concidering the places around the area. For short stays its good. Comfy bed shower and toilet facilities. Place is clean what more do you want. I noticed people want everything for a cheap price. Simple rooms with a bathroom. The couple running the site are lovely and friendly but if booking to stay please read what your needs are. "

"Check in and check out were no problems. Followed the instructions that were sent to email on the day of registration. Location - the center is 10 minutes walk away, paid parking is 3 minutes away 20 pounds per day, free on Sunday. Communication - I used email, the answer was immediate. Of the minuses, do not forget to make a deposit (it is clear why)."

I had a home cooked evening meal, which the host will provide for a reasonable cost. It is lovely to be out in the countryside - and I felt totally at home. Unfortunately I experienced a flat tire whilst there (a really old tire went pop) and the host was so kind - he sorted me out with a replacement tyre to keep me on the road for my meetings. "A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"
