"It’s a 4* hotel with a 5* service that was as good as I have experienced in a long time. All the staff were Mauritian and the difference is so noticeable that when you go to other non-Beachcomber hotels where much of the staff is seasonably imported and the standards are so poor. The location in Gran Baie was excellent for all the northern trips. The beach was nice. The A La Carte was exceptional. But the best benefit was you could use all the facilities and restaurants of the local sister...

"Hôtel was lovely, views from the rooftop at breakfast and from the pool were the highlight for me. Room was spacious. Staff were very attentive, more than you would expect in this kind of hotel, which was not really for me, but some people like that level of service. Note long trousers and closed shoes if you want to eat dinner at the hotel (we didn't have either). Walking distance to the beach and the few restaurants in town (recommend the Cloud) and good parking if you have your own car. "

"We absolutely loved our two-week stay at Baystone. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and were constantly asking how our stay was and if there was anything they could do. The room was amazing and was very clean. Stephanie in particular was great and made sure our stay was enjoyable. On two occasions we left very early in the morning (before breakfast) to go on trips and both times we were given a little takeaway box with some breakfast. Would highly recommend."
