"Although we were aware that the hotel was closing we still expected 4 star accommodation as that is what we paid for. The pool and terrace area were in a very bad state of disrepair and the pool area unusable. We asked for an upgrade to a sea view as there road works at the front of the building and therefore noisy but were told ( 6 hrs after asking and having to ask again)that no rooms were available although the hotel was clearly far from busy. "The Eliott was perfect for us - a clean, spacious room with easy late check-in, great central location, and convenient parking. We needed a portable bed, which they quickly provided, and the room did not feel crowded. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool, sun deck, lobby/bar, and outdoor patio are lovely. If you're scrolling through endless options for places to stay in Gibraltar, I highly recommend choosing The Eliott. I am so glad I did!"

"Arrived day later than booked as we were bumped from flight due to bad weather meaning flight would land in Spain, which passport wasn’t valid for. However, very welcoming when we did arrive, room was great and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was that the pool and deck were not available due to maintenance. This was very disappointing as it was one of the reasons we had booked this hotel. We were not advised of this when we booked or when we arrived. "
