Enter the park and begin your stroll around its tree-lined pathways. A broad boulevard runs along the park’s southeastern edge and is flanked by tall palm trees and cypresses. Wander down the leafy arcade and admire the topiary hedges, which have been creatively transformed into corkscrew spirals. This main path is dotted with old-fashioned lampposts, fountains and pretty white park benches, which provide a pleasant spot to relax. People-watch or bring a book to read.

Also known as Parque Cemento, this is a popular spot for children to learn to skate. Walk along the Paseo Santa Bárbara to enjoy one of the city’s best vantage points over the ocean waters. Genovés Park is located on the very tip of the peninsula that the city of Cádiz covers. It is situated directly between the city’s charming Old Town and the Atlantic Ocean waterfront. Neighboring the Universidad de Cádiz, the park is easy to access on foot and by public transit. There is ample parking available between Genovés Park and the beach to the south.
