"Great location overlooking the heart of Funchal. Welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfortable. We even enjoyed the ambiant music that greated us each time we walked in. Breakfast and dinner were quite tasty and generous with a selection of local fruit and international fare. The roodtop bar and pool had an amazing view and were a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset. "

"Loved our stay in Barcelo. Rooms spacious and bed very comfortable, bathroom clean and good size. Perfect location for everything, the street is amazing. Breakfast excellent, all you could wish for, and very comfortable reception area. A luxurious hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely choose to come to Hotel Barcelo again, our stay was magical! More drawers for clothes would be useful, also our shower caused water to flow on to the bathroom floor unless we put towels on the entry floor. "
