"We stayed at Tissa's for 3 nights and it was so memorable. The three women who work the front desk are incredibly kind and helped us with whatever we needed (transportation, walking tour, laundry, massage, etc.). The chef makes delicious Keralan food (particularly liked his fresh caught fish - tell him ahead of time!). Breakfast in particular was delicious - always with a new Keralan option and a continental option. The location was good - a few minutes away from the busy tourist area and in a more local community, but still close to everything. Our only real issue is that the WiFi does not carry over to the rooms, although it's accessible from the common area right next door. We ended up hotspotting, when needed. We would absolutely stay there again! "

"Amazing relaxing stay at Fort Kochi. The Ayurvedic massage treatment was incredibly relaxing, highly recommend. A bit of construction was a little noisey but they also provide ear plugs which helps. "

"I spent my last night in India at the Malabar House in Fort Kochi and it was quite the treat. I was upgraded to the Garden suite and the room was stunning from the fixtures to the artwork. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was fantastic! The hotel is ideally located just a block or two inland from the harbor and the fishing nets. Gorgeous property. "

"It was a quaint little place with very friendly staff. The restaurant was covered but had no walls / no AC. Also, they do not have a liquor license so they do not serve."

"Amazing welcome by Bernard. Warm, friendly and genuine. I booked a small, cheap room and was upgraded to a larger, more superior room at no extra cost. Bed was super comfortable. Bernard was so helpful - giving information on the are; booking taxi. Would certainly stay at Dream Catcher again when back in the area. "

"Large room with three separate beds but non-functional. Yes, I understand that they have a room available not meant to be a hotel room, but why not rent out to make money. AC and WiFi non functional. Dark closed room. Couldn’t open windows. Needed to keep lights on. Dirty unusable wooden cabinet with age-old newspapers strewn as shelf liner. Folks, clean up the cabinet, paint and use store bought regular shelf liner but never those dirty newspapers. No place to put luggage even for one person. For a three-night stay, provided three packets of coffee, no spoons/stirrer, two water bottles, three towels, and then the owners disappeared on the second. No way to contact to have the issues fixed. Seems like the glowing reviews by foreigners are results of just a brief opportunity to meet ‘some’ or ‘any’ local’ despite the inconveniences, and that’s understood. It’s like going to a jungle safari despite the mosquitoes, insects, and threat from wild animals. Anyhow, not impressed."
