"What a beautiful property and area! We only had one night to stay here as we passed through during the off-season, but wished we had more time. We chose this spot due to the fact that we had dining options that we didn't even have to leave the building for, which was very nice after a long day's drive, and so that the next morning we could take a nice hike before hitting the road again. Both were perfect. I could imagine how nice it is to stay for a little vacay on the lake. Their beach, outdoor decks and lounge areas, and of course the outdoor bar would be so nice during summer weather, but even in the cold, it was nice to have such a big space to wander around and hang out inside too. We didn't use the pool, but it looked really nice. I would definitely stay here again."

"Room was very clean and comfy. Staff members were all friendly. Breakfast options were great. Hot tub and gym were nice. Pool seemed to look a little dirty or maybe discolored brown on the bottom, but kids enjoyed it anyway. "

"The guy at the front desk was very friendly and checked me in very quickly. The place doesn't look real nice from the outside but once you get inside the rooms are very clean and spacious and even have a full kitchen. The TV could have been bigger and there were no tissues in the room. I had to use the spare roll of toilet paper as tissues."

"True to 1800s history and architecture, the Gunter Hotel is easily a place that will transport you back in time. Visited during the cold season and the hotel and especially the room remained toasty. "
