Learn about some of Coffs Harbour’s amazing marine life at Dolphin Marine Magic, one of the city’s star attractions. An educational presentation at this zoo park is filled with awe-inspiring tricks and hands-on experiences. The park’s troupe of charming dolphins and seals perform while the park’s marine mammal specialists demonstrate fascinating facts about the aquatic mammals.
Attend one of the Marine Discovery Presentations to watch an exciting performance that showcases the skills of seals and dolphins. Be sure to arrive early so that you can receive a kiss from one of the dolphins or seals and get your photograph taken. You’ll learn about the creatures’ habits, behaviors and favorite foods. Feed a fish to a seal or tickle a dolphin as it glides gracefully by. Learn about the biology of these creatures, as well as conservation efforts that are currently being made to protect them and their vital environment. Be sure to ask the specialist any questions you might have about these amazing marine mammals.
After the presentation, make your way to the park’s selection of exhibits. At Solitary Reefs, learn about the diverse marine life that flourishes in the nearby Solitary Islands Marine Park. Here, you’ll have the chance to feed the fish and sharks in the exhibit. Head over to Penguin Beach to learn about the waddling birds and feed a fish to one of the resident penguins.
Visitors with a special interest in dolphins and seals can book a session to swim with the slippery creatures. If you are intrigued by the role of the marine mammal specialist, book to join the Trainer for a Day program.
Take a moment to relax at the park’s Creekside Café or bring a picnic to enjoy at the marquee in the garden. The park has a gift shop for purchasing souvenirs.
