Sink into crystalline water while basking in the scenic beauty at one of the more serene beaches on Boracay island.

Diniwid Beach is a picturesque and pristine tropical utopia. This unhurried beach is a great antidote to the bustling tourist activities of Boracay’s White Beach. To reach Diniwid Beach, follow a waterfront trail at the foot of palm-clad cliffs. You’ll discover one of the island’s most beautiful yet lesser-visited coastal areas.

Kick off your footwear and feel the fluffy white sand pass between your toes. With fewer visitors, you’ll find plenty of space to lay down a towel and relax beneath the warm sun. Tall palm trees provide welcome shade when it gets too hot. A small selection of bars and restaurants stand on the beachfront but there are no kiosks so consider bringing your own food for a picnic.

The water is crystal clear and a beautiful shade of turquoise, inviting you to take a refreshing swim. Beside moored boats, the beach is devoid of watersports so you can swim and float without having to dodge Jet Skis and windsurfers. Be aware of rocks on the seabed as you enter the water.

Above the cliffs at the northern end of the beach are hotels with open-air terraces and sublime coastal views. Sit back and admire the scenery with a cold beer or a weng weng, a cocktail of multiple liquors, orange juice, pineapple juice and grenadine, in your hand. One of the hotels has a diving platform, from where you can plunge straight into the sea.

A great time to visit the beach is early in the evening, as the sun drifts down and turns the sky into a fiery red-orange color. Linger a while and listen to the soothing sounds of the waves breaking on the shore. Look back to see the lights of the hotels illuminate the cliffs.

It’s easy to reach Diniwid Beach by walking for about 10 minutes from White Beach. From Cagban Jetty Port it’s a 40-minute drive by tricycle taxi. Visit the beach from November to April for almost perfect weather conditions and little rain, and between May and October to avoid Boracay’s peak season.
