"The hotel is easy and quick to walk from Birmingham New Street, but Google Maps took us a really long way round. Please put clear walking directions on your website! The Holiday Inn Express main website says you have a spa and golf course😂 Please make it clear that you don’t! The room rate was excellent. No complaints there. But the coffee at breakfast was poor, tasteless, and the eggs were reconstituted/out of a bag. I’d pay more for decent coffee and real eggs/an egg station. "

The only let down was that there was a big Hilton event on, so when we walked in to the foyer in our comfy travelling clothes, there were about 200 people dressed really fancy, which made us feel out of place. If you have perfume sensitivities, the lobby and bar are treated with a perfume which can be a problem for you. We tried to move through quickly to minimise our bodies’ reactions. 2. "Clean and convenient location, but very basic facilities in the room, just a bed. No shelves or table, no where to put your clothes, everything had to go on the floor."
