"This property was great for a quick stay in Hokitika. close to the beach and the glow worm dell, which was incredible. it is fun to have the goats and alpaca on property. it is rustic and has limited kitchen facilities and is a bit run down but worked out fine for one night. "

"The views from my room were magnificent. You could see the snow tipped mountains but there were also lots of misty fogs moving in and out, which provided a great visual. My room came with all the amenities, but it was not particularly clean. There were things under the bed and the carpet by the sliding glass door in the back was filthy. The water pressure in the shower is very faint. The staff was very nice and helpful, and all in all, it was worth the money. "

"Wonderfully located right on SH6 only several blocks from the beach (great sunsets) and to town for shopping and meals. Very comfortable room. Noise from toad can be blocked by closing the windows and blinds. Very comfortable place. "

"This property is not actually in Franz Joseph but FJ is close by. It's lovely but a little sterile for my taste, very well cared for and nicely furnished. I wish we had had more time to enjoy the outside grounds. There's seating and lawns all around the property. "

"Had overnight stay in twin double bed room. Bed springs failing so lumpy in places. Bathroom sliding door very unstable. OK for short stay. The Hotel is however quite a way from Greymouth centre. To far to walk"
