It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic. "The Gate is a hidden gem! Super clean, super comfortable, fantastic shower...everything was like new! This place was excellent for a couples weekend getaway. We really enjoyed having our own kitchen with the relaxing living space. A nice sized bedroom with the most comfortable bed ever! Everything was perfect, including the ease of walking into town to shop, dine and have drinks!
