"Sunrise Ridge was amazing. Beautiful suites that have all the amenities, great location, beach was wonderful. Black Goose Inn is close and has great food. The only downfall is check out is 10 am which is very early. I wish it had been more inline with other resorts or hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Parking fee of ten bucks? Why??? This is Nanaimo, not downtown Vancouver, or Victoria. Cash grab. Totally a cash grab. Hotel is great, but there are parts that are outdated, and a pressure wash of the nice path beside the lake would be a good idea. GOOSE POOP "

"The lights in the rooms are on motion sensor timers, the bathroom light went out continuously while we were in the shower. The main room light required a room key inserted into a slot to remain turned on, otherwise it turned itself off."
