"Had a wonderful 4 day stay at the Aloft. Highlights were the infinity pool, amazing dinner and friendly staff. Suggestions: train waiting staff to improve quality of service- they tried hard but need help to improve. Also re-brand restaraunt- food was such high quality but branding was a bit naff. "

"This place is a longish walk or a short bike / motorbike ride from Cenang Beach, which can be good or bad depending on your preference. The room design, especially the bathroom, is nice for hotels in this price range, and the inside was clean and not overly noisy. Only thing that mattered to me that was poorer than expected was the shower water pressure, which was pathetically weak. Took twice as long as usual to get clean — no water saved. But overall, still a great deal "

"The hotel is a short walk to Chenang Beach and numerous shops and restaurants. It’s close enough for the convenience, but far enough away from the tourist traffic to offer a quiet, peaceful stay. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the Rice Garden restaurant offers good dining choices for dinner and snacks. The rooms are spacious and well designed and the shower and bathroom area are pleasantly modern. The hotel is very family friendly and we felt well taken care of by the kind and helpful staff. We would definitely stay at the Mercure if we visit Langkawi again."
