"I love the location, convenience and atmosphere - quiet, beautiful garden setting with spa setting in back. Only draw back is the room was not well-lit. Overhead lights, designed for two bulbs, only had one. We asked for another bulb, maintenance was sent. At first he said he did not have the "tools" to replace bulb. DUH. We showed him they covers come off by hand turning a small know. He then said he did not have authorization to add a second bulb. Seemed a little petty to scrimp on the bulb...

Lovely landscaping made for beautiful outdoor spaces to lie in a hammock, sit by the water, etc. Our room was clean and nice, but the bathroom and sheets could have been better. "We absolutely loved our stay at Camino Real Tikal! We enjoyed the hotel and the lake beach was so beautiful and the water was crystal clear. The staff went above and beyond for us in many ways, always greeting us with a smile and the best attitude. The hotel was being remodeled and we couldn't enjoy the jacuzzi and other parts of the property.
