The instructions say to go to the front desk but it was closed even though we were within the open hours. We didn’t get great instructions when checking in and had trouble with the locks. "This is the most wonderful place to stay! Super charming, wonderful and helpful staff, and most spacious and comfortable rooms. There is parking and the gate closes at night for security. The restaurant is elegant and fine dining. This was one of the best dinners we had in France. The Auberge is walking distance to Chenonceau. We will only stay here for future visits!"

"The Chateau is beautiful and has such potential to be fabulous. In fairness we were there during off season, but we do see the need to update the bedrooms. The decor and furnishings are showing wear. The Chateau manager, Sarah, was the sweetest and worked so hard to ensure our stay was pleasurable. Sarah's service and just the pure fact that we were staying in a Chateau, helped us overlook the minor condition of the rooms. Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat!"
