"We were told the room type we booked was not available for us upon arrival. Were told they would “upgrade us” but the room we were put in was clearly not an upgrade at all. The room features were very outdated, half the plugs in the room did not work, the tub wouldn’t drain and the AC didn’t work well. "

"Probably the best value hotel room I’ve stayed in. Yes, the hotel is old, dated and in urgent need of some repair. BUT for £60 for a large room, castle view and walkable distance to all of the tourist attractions, it’s a good deal. Not sure what the deal was with the little homemade sandwiches in the foyer though….? Btw, I’m actually a local resident and was staying here for one night while I was exchanging/completing on my property. Served its purpose well. "

"It’s a beautiful hotel. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. It’s a perfect location for Windsor town centre and for going across the river to Eton. The Brasserie served a lovely breakfast and you can have a riverside view too. The staff were very helpful and did everything you’d want them to. Will definitely stay again. "

"Check in staff and front desk were lovely! I booked online as I arrived as the walk in rate was £12 more and she was patient. Room service was very quick and food was good. Pool is great and takes less than 10 mins to get to legoland. The legoland hotel was fully booked but this is a great alternative. Room was massive and overall very happy and half the price "

"Lovely old building, very interesting design, beautiful large hall inside with wood beams. Nice gardens to stroll around. The main restaurant food was great, & the bar area is very cosy. Lots of lovely cocktails to choose from. Fantastic view of the river Thames (although no walkable direct path down to it)."
