"Hotel was very clean and rooms seemed to be very up to date. Vinyl plank flooring was nice. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, cereals, and waffles. Midnight clerk, John, was very friendly and pleasant, even at 1230am when we checked in. Only negatives are shower didn’t have good water pressure and the neighborhood seemed a little sketchy. Saw two different guys in interactions with police just around the corner in the same day. There is a fence around the property though and they do have a well lit parking lot and parking under the hotel. Very close to the airport and the Marine Corp Recruit Depot. "

"We liked the ability to walk to the ocean or hang out on the Bahia’s beach located on the bay and the easy drive to Old town and San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Seaworld and Belmont Park. The Dockside 1953 restaurant, located on the property, was an excellent place to end the day sitting next to the fire with a delicious craft cocktail or enjoy a delicious meal. The manager and staff were all excellent and chatted with us each time we stoped in. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay if you want to be on the water and still close to activities. "
