"On the plus side the accommodation is situated next to lake windermere and the mountains so glorious scenery guaranteed. Invermere is a friendly town with lots of shopping available. My main disappointment was the failure of communications between myself and the property owner to ensure accommodation was available on our arrival. "My husband and I stayed in this hotel on the way to BC and coming back and overall nice, clean and friendly staff . . BUT rooms are not sound proof at all!! You can literally hear people stomping upstairs and in beside rooms, talking and doors opening and closing. I had to wear ear plugs and turn on a fan app on my phone and still constantly got woken up all night long "

"This was my second stay at Chancellor Peak. We stayed in chalet #14 which is private with an amazing view of the Peak and the surrounding nature. The chalet complex is located right at the Kootenay River. The area is very quiet and there are bears as well. A black bear came looking for food around the chalets a couple of nights. Overall a great place to stay and good value."
