"Stopped here on the way to Agrigento and was surprised to find how good the facilities and rooms were. Rooms were comfortable and seemed new. There was ample parking, a full deli and breakfast bar. The restaurant food was a high quality and the setting by the lovely clean pool was excellent. A surprising find with helpful and friendly staff. Excellent value!"

"Staying at Daphne house is a must. First, other reviews are 100 correct, as this property is superbly clean, decorated, and taken care of. There is even a lift for accessability. The homecooked breakfast and cakes were all made from locally sourced ingredients. Honestly, the cakes should be sold in a shop. They are amazing. "Overnight stay was fine. Excellent restaurant across the road on the beach. Pleasant room - only complaint was the hallway outside the room had a timed switch and if you were too slow it would switch off and it was pitch black to try and find the switch again. Car park charge of 10euros"

"We stayed at Villa Sece for one night, together with another couple, in early October while visiting Agrigento. The two rooms were nicely decorated, super cute and clean. Our check-in was easy and the hosts are lovely. They helped us determine where to go for dinner and their suggestion was superb! And their breakfast the following morning was absolutely amazing - the baked goods were very tasty and they were happy to do extra to accommodate dietary restrictions. Would love to go back."

"The place is nice and convenient but really it all about the host, Ottavio. Ottavio drove with us to find us a parking spot. We were having car trouble and he further helped with contacting the car rental company. Breakfast was great and location is excellent. Highly recommend. "

Beautiful, peaceful retreat with a fabulous host

"This was a magical place and definitely worth a visit. After visiting Palermo this was the peaceful retreat we were looking for. Our host was absolutely wonderful - he greeted us outside, brought our luggage up to the room and promptly offered us cappuccinos with fresh home-made cookies that he then brought up to our room and set it up on the balcony so we could enjoy the views. He provided tour guides/maps and recommended local restaurants and even called to make a last minute reservation for us for dinner. The house is gorgeous and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean with the best variety of toiletries we had on our whole tour of Sicily. Our balcony and view was incredible. Our breakfast each day was fabulous with fresh local cheeses, meats and a variety of homemade jams and freshly baked bread and warm torta. Our host was lovely and I wish we could have stayed there forever. "

"We chose this hotel for a quick one night stay to stab into Valley of the Temples park just 3 minutes away first thing in the morning, which we did. We found the room on the small side. The air conditioner seemed to run with odd intermittent noises. Our main issue was with the shower. First, the doors slid apart from the center on tracks as in a closet, but one door was so off-track, it was hanging on 1 of 4 rollers. I was able to get the top two back on track, but the bottom two needed tools. The second issue was the faucet handle was dead center on the long wall right where the showeree would stand--and it was a pullout handle, not a turn knob, not two or three knobs, a handle that juts into the action zone. Talking about thoughtless design, then add my gurthiness, it was an unpleasant dance in deed. I can't speak about all their rooms, but I would ask that they review this design flaw. Overall we slept well and we're able to accomplish our tourist objectives. I want to point out our wonderful experience eating dinner at Pizzeria Mythos Nella Valle--their food is tremendous and tasty. Great family run restaurant with high integrity. Five minutes walk from hotel. Nevermind the lower rating...their food is the real deal! "
