"Since we were traveling with our baby, we couldn’t climb Taishan. So we wanted a nice view of the beautiful mountain during the trip, and the hotel room had what we wanted. Breakfast was below our standard—both western and Chinese didn’t meet five star level, I think. Many praised its proximity to Wanda plaza and we made it there, too. But remind that hotel is not directly connected to the shopping mall and you still need to walk outside for 4-5 min."

"The rooms division is terrible. Front desk ineffficient, not providing the expected services, lack knowledge, skills and information. Drainage in shower cabinet is too slow, towel taken away although is hung as directed for protection of enivronment. only one bath towel for one guest. "I initially booked a two-night stay at The Westin Xian but ended up leaving early and I’m glad I did. While the hotel has potential, it feels dated and poorly maintained. We reserved a large one-bedroom suite but were given a lower-floor room that required a long walk to reach. "Maybe I am just being mean for not giving this property a five star. The porperty is in a very good condition, not as close to the touristic areas within the city wall. Receptionists do not speak very good english but they did their very best to help me especially when I was contacting my Didi driver for my pick-up. I would definitely stay in this property again though."

As it went down to almost 7 to 9°C in the night, they turned off all airconditioning and required guests to all use another inlet which brings in air from outside. "It was great. staff were very professional and friendly, breakfast and afternoon coffee food was good. Tours arranged by hotel staff were good. Room was great. Gym is bare minimum and some improvements would be helpful."

"The W Hotel was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Xi'an. The room was spacious with an amazing design and a large balcony offering fantastic views. Everything was automated and incredibly comfortable. The staff went above and beyond in every aspect of service, from arrival to departure. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of food options. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy all the facilities, but when the staff learned it was my birthday, they surprised me with a beautifully written card, fresh fruit, a delicious cake, and a thoughtful gift. I’ve never experienced such a personal touch at any other hotel!"
