"It's a basic hotel with friendly owners and a cute little dog. The room has little room, as the beds (3 in every room) take up most of the space. The breakfast is simple, primarily eggs, fruit and toast. It is a great option if you are looking for a budget place to stay with decent beds and a warm shower. It can be a bit noisy in the morning. "

"The property is very quaint, the rooms are large and fit our family of 6 just fine. The staff is great, the pool is amazing, and the views of the beautiful trees and wildlife were top notch. Each day a family of macaws would fly over the hotel while we were eating breakfast, it was breathtakingly beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"The host was very personable and took care to provide information of things to do around the surrounding area. However, the road to get to the hotel from Arenal was treacherous as it was mostly uphill, lots of curves and unpaved making it difficult to navigate."

"This property is BEAUTIFUL and incredible value for money! The view is gorgeous and the family who owns the hotel is so kind and lovely. They provide a delicious breakfast, and they even drove us to an ATM and offered to drive us into town. It’s not a far walk otherwise, just uphill on the way back. We also were walked to a nearby restaurant, Koora, which was incredible. The beds were comfy, the room is spacious, and our balcony was perfect. I would stay here again in the future. "

"The property manager, Lady, was so helpful. She helped arrange tours for us and gave us information about what to do. Finding the place was a little difficult, as Waze didnt map it out correctly (initially I used Mountain Faro Hotel as it was named in expedia) so i had to stop and google address and remap with a different name. I used Mountain Faro B&B and waze mapped icorrectly then. Also office was closed when we arrived at 7pm. I had to find contact info on expedia to reach owner. She...

"Hotel was quiet, quaint and completely relaxing. The breakfast was astounding. The vibe of the place is very welcoming, non-judgmental, and comfortable which is so important in a clothing optional establishment. It was perfect to lay by the pool, soak in the Costa Rican sun, and enjoy the waterfall pool and hot tub. Wildlife here was amazing...and came to us: we saw three sloths, iguanas, macaws, toucans, and squirrel monkeys! Better than a paid tour - at our doorsteps. Stephen & Gato...

"Our stay at Finca Aquarius was exceptional. The property is situated in a beautiful valley that is very peaceful and quiet, yet you are 20-30 minutes away from activities in Monteverde/Santa Elena. The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, spacious and have a fantastic view. Jan was an incredible host and amazing cook. We felt very fortunate to spend our last days in Costa Rica here. Highly recommend!"

"Highly recommended location, I really enjoyed staying here at this family run B&B. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really nice, my room was great, very quiet and comfy. The gardens are lovely and there is a great little deck to watch the sunset. Although the place is down and unpaved road I was only in a tiny 2wd car and this (and everywhere else in the area) easily accessible, just take it very slow. Would definitely stay here again "

"Dirty hostel. Disrty pillow cases, musty rooms, slippery grated floors outsude to get in, no handicap entrances, very limited breakfast hours of 1.5 hours 6:20am-7:30am only. Flught was delayed in NYC due to flooding so we didn't get there until 2 days later and no one was on the premises- had ro go next door to another hotel to get someone to call that bed and breakfast. "

"I was thinking just a room with the breakfast included option for two people but it turned out they have a full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The host and her daughter were super friendly and willing to help us out. They recommended a good local restaurants and our stay was very comfortable. It’s a nice location too. Close to the downtown but still very quiet. "

"Beautiful property near the Cloud Forest Reserve. It feels secluded but it’s close to everything. Check-in was super easy and the staff was very friendly. The 3 bedroom cabin was cozy and lovely especially the outdoor seating area. Would definitely stay again!"

"Wow, wow, wow! That was everything I expected and more! We stayed in the luxury Penhouse, Suite 19. The room is beautiful, large, and the bathroom is also large. The living room and bathroom have doors that lead to the huge balcony. Every evening, from the balcony, we enjoyed a perfect sunset view. We enjoyed our friendly visitors each day: small monkeys, an iguana, humming birds, butterflies, and red/blue birds. Despite being surrounded by the forest, no bugs or insects disturbed us. We were able to leave the doors open for hours. The monkeys would walk by a few occasions, but never entered lol. Cool experience. The most impressive feature for me is the WhatsApp communication service. Anything you need, weather it be pillows at 11pm, a taxi ride to and from the hotel or anywhere, room food service, etc, it's only one text away, and the response time is literally only seconds! The main pool / restaurant area is extremely beautiful. The staff is friendly and professional. We had planned to do so many adventurous things such as zip lining, jet skiing, visiting waterfalls, etc, but we didn't do any of those things because we enjoyed just staying in our large room and relaxing on the balcony and swimming in the private pool attached the balcony. Thank you, Hotel Makana, for an unforgettable experience."

"The hotel was an amazing experince, the Marina is a great addition to the experience, maybe the sea is not my fav for be a dark sand but still beuatiful to have the sea right there... the Iguana tour was great and the golf court beautiful"
