"I got scammed by the hotel. I booked and it was confirmed, I paid, when calling for directions the reception said it was full and there was nothing they could do and that I must contact customer services for a refund. Customer services rejected the refund request "

"Lovely, caring owner in a gorgeous location. The property itself needs a bit of TLC. For 50 Rand, they will wash your clothes as there is no washing machine. "

"Lovely big house on a very central spot and close to the sea. A few things need attention but nothing that ruined our stay. We actually had a good time. Although it is self catering, I would suggest that the dustbin should at least have been fixed with a trash bag (one will do for a start!) on guests’ arrival. "A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. "

"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....
