Great location, 25 mins walk to the old town and 5 mins to some lovely bars and restaurants. The only let down was the staff really…they were the least friendly we came across in Madeira. We were not impressed with the service fee that was automatically added to every bill considering the poor level of service. The friendliest member of staff we came across was the guy that was on reception when we checked out at 3am! Also the drinks weren’t very nice and were very expensive. "

"I enjoyed my stay at Zarco very much. The room was very comfortable and renovated with beautiful linens and a great bathroom. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with pastries, fruit, eggs, deli meats and cheeses and excellent juice and coffee. It’s also very well located walking distance to the historic area, the marina and beach promenade and great cafes and shopping. My only complaint is the street noise since my room overlooked the busy square below with a cafe open until 2:00am and lots of noisy people. I would happily stay there again but ask for an interior room. Be aware that you have to walk up 16 stairs to enter the reception area. I was lucky that some charming guests helped carry my large rolling suitcase up the stairs! Overall an excellent value and charming place to stay in Madeira."

"We stayed in 3 bedrooms villa. It's modern, big, clean, & comfortable place to spend with friends & family. The complex has beautiful beach view, clean & safe. The staff are nice & professional. The buffet food is excellent. The specialty restaurant is hard to get a reservation since it's limited space. I wish the resort tells & gives the guest option to special restaurant prior our arrival.
