The property was ok but not as expected . The room had torn headboard leather, not even water is provided which we had to buy on our own. Elevators also feel ancient, giving dull and old look.

Our room had no AC & I called 3 times to advise of the issue. Staff continued to stay that maintenance came to room & service the AC. It was not until Sunday night that we were offered to move rooms but we checked out Monday. Management stated that she would give us 2 free nights in the future which I’m currently still waiting on an email.

Let's start with the pros: Monorail Station, near the Convention Center, Edge Steakhouse is AMAZING, friendly staff. The cons: We were stuck on the second floor multiple times for multiple hours because the elevators were cut in half, with only 3 functioning elevators we were stuck on floor 2. The stairs go from 29-2 but once you were on two it was elevator or fire escape only. We ended up having to be escorted through the fire escape to get down. I complained because the situation wasn't safe or practical. They moved us, through the service elevators in the employee only section because our North Tower elevators again, not an option. In the 'new' room, the AC unit was SO LOUD it was hard to think. If you turned it off it quickly rose to 90 degrees in the room, if you left it on it was maybe 80 degrees, but so loud we couldn't sleep. I would not EVER stay here again. This hotel needs to do SERIOUS work, or close. There were handfuls of people trying to get their rooms changed every time we went to talk to someone. That isn't what people pay for.

I'm a hardcore very serious World traveler but I travel to a lot of medical conferences as well. I was pleased to get a hotel so close to the convention center but the walkway that was to be cool in summer was closed so we had to walk 10 minutes in the blazing sun to get to the entrance of the convention center. I am always kind of irritated in a hotel with no coffee in the room. I think it's almost rude to tell people to go down to buy any dollar cup of coffee or pay room service. For this reason I will not be staying at the Westgate next year for this conference but it's acceptable. If this is your only option then you should take it. It's not bad, it's just lacking courteous conveniences. The rooms are quite old ( I stayed here 30 years ago when it was the Hilton several times) but the beds are comfortable and we found it to be clean and convenient generally speaking. Our room was experience was horrible. The shower barley worked, toilet didnt flush and we found a bug under the sheets. The hotel moved us rooms in the morning as we un packed there were dirty clothes left in that room. I had to ask for some kind of compensation for my troubles. Wont stay there again

They close the pool at 7pm while it was 105 degrees. They charge 50 dls a night on top of your room fee for “resort fees” when it only has one small pool and nothing else to offer for it and when you ask about it they don’t give much information. They say nothing else can be done. Overall not planning on staying here again nothing special worth the price.

Thai was a great place to stay if you are looking for privacy. We had issues with facilities maintenance that was not resolved successfully during our visit with hot water not working. All else was great.
