"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. "Relaxing music in the lobby to enjoy a hot drink before heading out in the morning was a nice touch. The old-time decor was charming. I've never spent any time in hotel lobbies, but this was a comfortable place to gather with our group in the mornings. The concierge was very polite, friendly and responsive."

"The week before we went i saw a number of reviews complaining about the fees at check in and the state of the property. Yeah, they charge a ~$35 per night amenities fee and $100 per night hold for incidentals - that can add up. But the restaurant on site/next door is very good with friendly staff and a nice bar, we ate and drank there a number of evenings out of exhaustion.
