"Location, style, price & comfort were all perfect for staying one night in the city for a friends birthday. Only complaint was their entry /swipe card system. They give you two cards, one red, one blue. I took one card out with me and upon my return couldn’t get into the building. Another guest saw me & notified me that I had the “wrong colour” to get in. He let me in so I could speak to reception who confirmed I needed one card to get into the building & the other card to get into my room....

"A nicely located hotel with views overlooking the Swan River. Close to centre of Perth. Comfortable rooms. Air conditioning didn't seem to be working when I arrived, but was fine for the following days. Breakfast was good value, but I would have welcomed more choice."

"We had a great time during out 3 night stay at The Esplanade, it is a beautiful building with lots of choice as far as spending time in the bars, restaurants or poolside. The room was stock standard, nothing over the top special, but the bed was very comfortable, it was very roomy. I liked the option to not have the room serviced in exchange for a credit on stay, what a great incentive and makes perfect sense. The bathroom shower floor looked like it needed a good scrub but other than that...

"We love staying here as it is very close to the venue where we attend a lot of events. It is Handy to the freeways both North and South and easy walking distance to shops and the city centre. Staff are very friendly and attentive."

"I booked this hotel last minute & everyone was so accommodating to me! I loved this hotel, the room was lovely, they even left a personalized note for me. The breakfast was lovely and all of my requests were accepted. This was a wonderful first stay in Perth!"

"Our only complaint is the quality of the bed, it did not provide a good sleep. Every time one person moved the whole bed shook, plus it felt smaller than a queen size bed and had some sort of plastic topping on the mattress which makes a terrible noise everytime you move."

"The location is excellent being in the heart of the city. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. The rooms need updating, particularly the air-conditioning which is noisy . Having said that we enjoyed our stay there . The rooms were spacious but on some levels not well thought out. For example in the room we had we couldnt get the suitcase between the bed and the corner of the wall to get to the wardrobe. We had to lift them over the corner of the bed. "

"The accessible rooms were great, spacious, non slip tiles and rails in bathroom. Huge comfy king soze bed, reception area was trendy with small bar/cafe. Limited options for breakfast, no balcony and couldn't open a window. Two fire emergencies during my 5 night stay, on the 7th floor with a disability and noone at reception. Need a much better fire plan."

"I enjoyed my stay and very comfortable bed. The rooms are very clean. I enjoyed the food at the bar. However the bath sink and toilet was too low. Awkward & uncomfortable posture. The decoration has too many colours, quite busy for the eye. The food price is too high, would be good if price can reduce or increase quantity of food. Overall a great stay though, just a few improvements to look at. Thank you"
