"The views from our room were simply beautiful. Able to see Kanchenjunga range. The service by the staff from reception to housekeeping to restaurant is excellent. "Filthy rooms badly in need of updating (see photo of tub). Leaky faucets. Wifi was patchy at best. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Completely not worth the money and quite a ways away from Central Gangtok. Nothing within the resort to stay in and enjoy either. We will not be returning - and recommend you please stay away. There are plenty of other options in Gangtok for this high a price"

"After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful with painted carvings throughout and is only a short walk to the market road. The dining was very good. The true highlight of my stay was the service. The service was exceptional and above and beyond anywhere I've stayed. If my travels ever return me to Gangtok the Yangthang...

"Not a good experience. Room was smelly. I think it was the smell of Paint/whitewash. Water issue, flush was licking. In the morning there was no water in the bathroom. Had to use water bottle for tooth brush. Overall not a good experience."

"apart from location, nothing is great about this hotel. 125mtrs from MG Marg. Travel desk at the hotel is very expensive and overcharges everything. Frequent power cuts makes lifts unsafe. Studio Rooms have a good mountain view. "
