"Do not be kidded by the write up on the hotel.com website. I booked a triple room so that I could have a kitchenette with a small fridge. There was no kitchen no fridge and not even a kettle. The indicate a king size and single bed. The king size was two singles pushed together which continually parted during the night. I ordered a steak in the restaurant that i would not have fed to my dog. Avoid like the plague."

"The room was very outdated, it smelled like an unventilated room, there were cobwebs on the walls, the shower was really small, The picture of the room on the website does not resemble the room we got. The only thing that stood out was the view from the lake in the morning"

"We stayed one night. We booked very last minute and stayed in the room almost the whole time just catching up on sleep. The reception desk was great - helpful and accommodating. We were very comfortable in this hotel."

"We booked a stay at this hotel based on reviews and photos but to be honest we did not even check in. When we arrived, we walked up the "hill" to the entrance and there was literally no sign of life. Doors and windows were shut - we did not see any people or hear noises. We did not even see a store of any kind. My apologies to the host, but when we arrived, we saw a sign "be back soon" and we decided this was not the place for us to stay. The accommodations looked inviting and comfortable...

"We were welcomed to the Hotel Umbria by the proprietor who was absolutely charming. He offered us a chilled bottle of water for our room on arrival and also parked the car. Dinner that nice was in the Hotel restaurant sitting on the terrace and food was very good. Room had good air conditioning and was quiet."

It was also really kind of them to suggest such a fantastic local restaurant nearby which proved to be our favourite from the whole nine-day trip.
