"Pleasantly surprised because the hotel was much nicer than I had anticipated! Very clean, luxurious, spacious rooms, fancy shampoo/conditioner set from L’Occitane, good water pressure, clean water that didn’t smell like sulfur. We arrived on the later side and staff was available for check in. Breakfast was also good and staff was attentive to guests’ needs even during breakfast. For me, it’s a five-star experience, and I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to Iceland. For those who need to know: the hot water is sufficient for standard showers, but if you tend to linger, you might want to keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s an absolutely wonderful place.""

"We spent the day in Vik; black sand beach, hiking, The Soup Company, Lava Show and we're looking for a hotel near my. So happy we found the Volcano Hotel. We preordered a yummy dinner of lamb and char with dessert. We watched the Northern Lights from our bed. So cool. Breakfast was tasty too. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommend. "

"Excellent spot, arrived after 22.00 and used self check in, worked really well. The room was great, warm, clean and well equipped. Beds were really comfortable. Didn’t get chance to use the hot tubs sadly, but looked lovely. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Would definitely recommend"

"The cabin was great. It was definitely a home away from home. We got to pet the horses and were able to see the northern lights on a clear day. The only con I have is that our beds were on the softer side and lumpy but it didn’t factor in my rating. My advice is definitely come before sundown because the roads are dark and road is somewhat rocky. Also, get your snacks and/or food before you come cause it a decent drive to find something and most of the stores close early"
