"Even though it’s on the main drag, it’s very quiet and cozy. It’s within walking distance of at least 20 small restaurants. Wonderful hosts! Delicious breakfast! It’s hard to realize that about 80 years ago, tanks landing at Normandy rolled along these same streets. "

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. Excellent location for visiting the DDay memorials ,and seeing the sights in Bayeux. Great restaurants and shopping within a short walk. In the evening after our excursions, it was so nice to come back to the hotel where there was a warm fire in the bar and comfortable seating to relax a bit. "Lovely hotel right in the centre of Bayeux with everything easily within walking distance. The room was lovely and warm and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub and swimming pool were a nice touch after a day of walking in Bayeux and on the Normandy beaches. Highly recommend. "
