"The hotel staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived to our departure. We would like to say a particularly big thank you to James who took care of us and our needs throughout our stay. "The hotel is beautiful with a lot of charm and character and our room was lovely. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was poor and could easily be improved. The eggs benedict and the veggie breakfast were both quite tasteless. The selection of pastries and cereals etc were good though. I'm sure last time we stayed here the cooked breakfast was better. Strangly the curtains covered the radiator and so blocked some of the heat but the room was still warm....

"Staff were great. I had to ask for a clean cup as the ones in my room looked like they hadn't been washed properly. The tray which the tea and coffee was dusty. I think that the bedrooms could possibly do with a bit of make over. But other than that everything was ok."
