"This small boutique hotel was amazing for the price. The room was small but had what we needed for our one night stay. A bit noisy from the dogs outside so I would suggest earplugs and you will sleep fine as my husband and I did. No kettle in the room for coffee, this would be a nice addition. We just walked 5 minutes and we were on the main strip filled with restaurants. It is close to the train station but a good 30 minute taxi ride if you are taking a ferry."

"Nice hotel with good breakfast. Staff are helpful and friendly. Try to pre arrange your transportation to the airport. They charge 200 baht per person for a 10 minute ride to the airport. Only because there is no traffic in this area. "

"Clean room, comfortable bed, nice pools. Super quiet no background music. Personally would like some music in the background while having dinner or drinks. Partner ordered a pizza which was obviously a frozen one. Wouldn't recommend one. I had spring rolls and they were good. Overall a nice stay."

This hotel That's a nice pool. And great staff the morning buffet is good from seven a m to ten am. Overall, a very nice property for the money"

"The staff were helpful, one of us left an item behind and the staff contacted us straight away to advise. The rooms are dated, served the purpose we needed it for as we wanted to sleep before travelling further. Food for someone in England I wouldn’t be able to eat. With some improvements / renovation this resort could be improved drastically. "

"It’s a nice hotel in a quiet area with local street food. Good for a short stay. Overall clean bedroom, just shower a bit mouldy. "

"Hotel was charming with a unique decor - staff very accommodating and friendly. View wonderful and a homey feel with the two dogs that were present. Only concern was that air conditioner was working to full potential in the room I stayed in for one night. I would highly recommend the De Sea Almond Hotel in Chumphon , Thailand."

"Huge modern hotel with large rooms for 680 baht. Strong WiFi (each room has its own router) and friendly staff. Wide choice for breakfast. As a vegetarian I was able to have toast, fried eggs and fresh fruit. Everything else had meat or meat products. Location is very central. Bear in mind the walls in the hotel are super thin. There was ‘adult activity’ going on next door day and night, and I could hear everything. Which wasn’t great."

"Perhaps outdated and run down hotel. Took considerable time to check in as they looked for my booking. Room had basic necessities, kettle would have been good. Only one plug with 3 sockets in room, but 2 needed for fridge and tv. We had a small balcony, unfortunately didn't use due to pigeon dropping, hadnt been cleaned pre arrival. This hotel in my opinion needs investment. 🤔 I would definitely visit Chumphon again, but most likely not this hotel. "

"The location of this hotel is ideal if wanting to travel to or from Chumphon train station (you can also book bus and boat tickets near the station), however, the hotel doesn't have much else going for it. It is a large, old fashioned, grubby hotel that looks like it hasn't been looked after since the 80's. The halls reminded us of the prison cells you see in the movies! The receptionist wasn't aware of our online booking and offered the room to us a lot cheaper before we told her we had...
