"A lovely one night stop over while visiting the Chippenham area with friends. The pub is in a quiet village and has nice outdoor seating overlooking the river. The staff were friendly & helpful and the service good. Our room was comfortable, with ' free' tea/ coffee and home- made cookies (very nice). Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and fruit / cereal/ pastries were available. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Ideal stay when attending a function at Grittleton house as only a few mins walk. Room was clean however was very cold (we did stay in December). "Stayed in the balcony room, was absolutely fantastic, so spacious and comfortable, had a mini kitchen with microwave and all equipment you could need for a short stay. Excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking available outside, approx £4 for 2 hours, but from 6pm - 8am it is free, we got up at 8am to put a ticket on just in time before the Traffic Warden arrived so be aware of this.
