The resort was completely kid friendly. It was perfect for our 2 and 5 year old. You can tell it is an older resort and I wish things would’ve been taken care of better and cleaner.

We travelled with our 3 children. 9,7,1 and 2 grandmas and were very disappointed with this resort. Staff: friendly but zero accountability, concierge, front desk all can’t answer simple questions and your conversations going circles, management is no where to be found. I tried to speak with the hotel manager and he was a ghost. Front of House manager was nice to interact with but she also ghosted no one is helpful and still many things including billing is unresolved and she has not returned any of my contact which she promised she would resolve. Checkin issues: Lines and waiting in the heat for everything. :We had an issue with additional people not being included from our Expedia reservation and the front desk held us hostage during checking with a 1 yr old baby making us pay 2x our initial reservation which was several thousand dollars for extra 2 adults and 2 kids to even get our room. Hotel not work it. Resort Atmosphere: Apart from the wild animals which is nice the hotel is run down, and no AC apart fr your room. The food and dining halls, including bars are a level above a school cafeteria in terms of atmosphere. The Food was good but the same stuff every day gets tiring. Pools: filthy and dirty. Our 1 yr son got Hand foot mouth virus and was in the Cancún hospital since there is only first aid staff at hotel. Useless We’ve stayed at Iberostar and many others in Playa del Carmen and booked Eco Caracol for the wildlife but regret our stay there.

4 star property- 3 star service. Food is 3 stars- but they have some good options. They have hamburger hotdog chips and tacos for the snack bar. I wish they did more in the area. Like cut up fruit or chicken or salad. The grounds are beautiful and clean I wish they would clean the glass at the pool restaurant it’s an eye sore and with no beach and too much seaweed. It would make you feel like this us the worst resort. It’s definitely not a beach resort but a jungle resort. resort with wild life everywhere. Mosquitos are out at night along with the monkeys. My kids had a great experience - waterpark and slides and eco experience but we won’t be back- thankful for the experience.
