For the price this hotel was great. The checkin/checkout was quick and easy and the girl working the front desk was friendly and helpful.
They did some nice renovations (a few years ago) that look nice but the rooms have been poorly maintained. Lots of scuffs and scratches on the furniture and walls that could easily be removed with magic eraser and touch up pen. The maids are very nice and accommodating and generally do a good job. The bathroom, balcony and the bedding was good and very clean. not a speck of dust on any of the mirrors. There is no headboard on the bed and the wall at head of bed and beside the bed had lots of stuff (miscellaneous biologicals) sprayed all over. Gross! We bought some Lysol wipes at the store across the street and it all wiped off in about 10 minutes and the room looked good.
The pool and restaurant upstairs was a bit of a disaster. I think maybe all the staff up there were brand new. They offered Indian, Thai, and western breakfast items. I didn't care for most of it but the watermelon was good. They had a fancy cappuccino machine. Unfortunately you need to clean the inside of this machine daily or the coffee tastes terrible.
There was a group of guys from India who brought beer (in glass bottles) and food to the pool. There were bottle caps and bottles, knocked over ashtrays, and plates scattered over the pool deck and in pool. They really need to hire someone to wait on the pool to avoid this and increase revenue.
